Lisa Moore is the principal of the firm. She is the past Chair of the Entertainment Section for the State Bar of Georgia, and an AV Preeminent rated attorney. She attended the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) where, as a Phi Beta Kappa, she received a BA in History and Political Science with Honors and Highest Distinction in 1995. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1998. Her practice focuses exclusively on litigation and transactional entertainment and intellectual property matters. Lisa previously served as an adjunct professor at the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Emory University. She lectures around the country on music, copyright, art law, film, television, literary publishing, new technology, and new media issues. She is a frequent contributor to various law reviews, entertainment journals, and related publications. She previously co-authored the definitive treaty on art law in Georgia titled Art Law in Georgia: A Guide for Artists and Arts Organizations and served as Editor of Volume 5 (New Technology) of Matthew Bender Entertainment Industry Contracts (a publication of LEXIS). She has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in Entertainment and Sports by Super Lawyers magazine, as one of The Best Lawyers in Americafor Copyright Law, and a “Legal Elite” in Entertainment / Sports Law by Georgia Trend Magazine, among other regional and national awards and accolades. In 2005, in recognition of her nonprofit work on behalf of low-income Georgia artists and nonprofit arts organizations through Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, she was awarded the prestigious “Young Attorney of the Year Award” by the Nonprofit Organizations committee of the ABA’s Business Law Section. She is a Fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia and a Master of the Bench in the Atlanta IP Inn of Court. She is licensed to practice in Georgia.
Andrew Pequignot is the other member of Moore Pequignot LLC. He focuses his practice on copyright, trademark, and entertainment matters. He is a frequent writer and speaker and has lectured at Emory University and Georgia State University. He served on the committee that drafted the pattern jury instructions for copyright cases in the Eleventh Circuit, and he formerly co-chaired the Southeast Chapter of the Copyright Society of the USA and chaired the copyright committee of the IP Section of the State Bar of Georgia. He has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine and as among The Best Lawyers in America for IP Litigation and Trademark Law. Before joining Moore Pequignot LLC, Andrew was an attorney with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. Andrew earned his J.D. and M.B.A. from Georgia State University. He is licensed to practice in Georgia.
